Nothing like making the patient and tedious job of sound editing easier.  I am wondering if the change(s) you suggested update the film to seem more like 40’s film noire. I love KINO so much! I also love many of the qualities of old film- including the flaws. I am a &amp;quot;purest&amp;quot; to a great degree, I suppose. But when you can truly advance the story and feel without compromising to modernization of the quality, I think that’s a good idea too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don’t mind at all that Sherlock Holmes is not one of the more valued classics but it does star John Barrymore and I grew up with the Sherlock Holmes Theatre on Friday nights in San Diego- (the streets were often foggy,) and the various actors who played the lead, mostly  Basil Rathbone in the forties films. SO, I am a Big fan!&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for the purchase link-- I am putting it on the local library wish list.&lt;br /&gt;I am watching the Tony Awards show right now and enjoying it so much. Depending on which theater we're in I'll keep bringing shorts by Chase and others; Cinema 3 can show 16mm.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Hope to see you at &lt;I&gt;Wings&lt;/I&gt; on Tuesday...this will be our first show with theatre organ accompaniment.
